Description
1982-83 Jack Brownschidle St. Louis Blues Game Worn Jersey - Retired Number
Lot #42

This home white dureen gamer by Sandow SK was worn by Jack Brownschidle during the 1982-83 NHL season. The St. Louis Blues selected Brownschidle in the 6th round of the 1975 NHL Amateur Draft. After graduating from Notre Dame in 1977, this Buffalo, NY native began his NHL career with the Blues in 1977-78. He remained with St. Louis for 7 seasons until a deadline deal in 1984 sent him to the Hartford Whalers. Brownschidle spent 3 seasons playing for Hartford, his last NHL season was 1985-86. Brownschidle also represented Team USA in a couple of World Championships as well as playing for the US National Team in 1973-74.

The game wear on this vintage dureen is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, stitch pops, fine inner pilling and a dozen team-sewn repairs. Another attribute is the retired player number 16, in honor of Hall of Famer, Brett Hull. A fantastic well-worn all-original offering that is fresh to the block and would enhance any serious vintage Blues collection.
