This home white knit gamer by Cooper was worn by Rene Lemire during the 1981-82 WHL season. Lemire played 3 seasons of junior hockey, spending all of them with the Billings Bighorns. Billings played their home games at the MetraPark Arena in Billings, Montana. The Bighorns existed for 5 seasons spanning 1977-82 before becoming the Nanaimo Islanders.
The game wear on this size XL sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired holes and fine inner pilling. Removed from the inner verso was an old school coin style fight strap. Billings gamers have been a notoriously tough get through the years. This beautiful example hails from the Bighorn’s final season of play and is the first Billings Bighorns sweater we’ve ever had the pleasure to offer.
