Description
1980's Daniel Marois and Ron Zanussi Toronto Maple Leafs Game Worn Jersey
Lot #103

This home white knit gamer by Maska was worn by Ron Zanussi and then later recycled for use by Daniel Marois. Ron Zanussi began his NHL career with the North Stars in 1977-78. He spent 4 years in Minnesota before spending a couple of seasons with the Leafs.

Daniel Marois began his NHL career in 1987-88 with Toronto. He lit the lamp 31 and 39 times each respectively in his first two NHL seasons. After 5 seasons with the Leafs, Marois joined the New York Islanders where he played for parts of 2 years. He next joined the Boston Bruins and Dallas Stars before heading to Europe to finish his career.

The game wear on this sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, washed out bloodstains, inner pilling and some significant team-sewn repair work. There are two Maple Leafs crests on the belly of this gamer, one sewn atop the other with repair work and reinforcement around the edges. There is also stitching around the entire hem of the jersey and a nameplate change worthy of mention. A nice old school Leafs gamer.
