Description
1980’s Dan Dorion New Jersey Devils Game Worn Jersey
Lot #66

This road red knit gamer by CCM and Cosby was worn by Dan Dorion circa the mid-late 1980’s during NHL play. The New Jersey Devils selected Dorion in the 12th round of the 1982 NHL Entry Draft. This Astoria, NY native played 4 years of college hockey at Western Michigan University before jumping right into the New Jersey Devils lineup in 1985-86. Dorion played parts of two seasons with New Jersey and also spent parts of 4 years playing in the AHL with the Maine Mariners and Utica Devils. In 1989-90 Dorion headed to Europe where he played for most of the next 5 seasons.

The sleeves on this gamer have been customized with extra panels added. Sewn into the collar is the born on date “85 – 10”. The game wear on this size 52 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, inner pilling and a fight strap that has succumbed to salt and rust. A name change exists with outlines appearing beneath and around the directly applied lettering on the upper verso while the CCM logo on the rear hem has been cut away. An obscure offering from Dorion’s brief NHL career.
