1980s Carl Banks New York Giants Game Worn Jersey
Lot #589

This home blue jersey by Champion was worn by linebacker Carl Banks while playing for the New York Giants in the 1980’s. After playing his college football at Michigan State University, Banks was drafted by the Giants in the first round (3rd overall) of the 1984 NFL Draft. He played the first 9 years of his NFL career with the team that drafted him, followed by a season with the Redskins and two years with the Browns to complete his 12-year NFL career. Banks was an All-Pro and made the Pro Bowl in 1987, is a 2-time Super Bowl Champion, a member of the New York Giants Ring of Honor and was named to the NFL 1980’s All-Decade team. Banks was a standout in Super Bowl XXI as he recorded 14 total tackles with 10 solo tackles. Since retiring he was part owner of an Arena Football franchise, Director of Player Development with the Jets and has been an analyst for radio broadcasts for the Giants.

This home blue jersey has the player name "Banks" on the back. The player number "58" is on the front, both sleeves and the back. Sewn to the hem is the Champion size and wash tag. Also sewn to the hem is a washed out tag that is unreadable. A beautiful jersey from this 2-time Super Bowl Champion.
