Description
1980 Jimmy Watson NHL All Star Game Worn Jersey – Jimmy Watson Letter
Lot #16
This beautiful NHL All Star jersey originated from the personal collection of Jimmy Watson. A letter signed by Mr. Watson will accompany your purchase.

This orange mesh gamer by Cosby was worn by Jimmy Watson during the 1980 NHL All Star Game. The Philadelphia Flyers selected Watson in the 3rd round of the 1972 NHL Amateur Draft. This Smithers, BC native made his NHL debut in 1972-73 with the Flyers, joining his older brother Joe on the Flyers blueline. Watson spent his entire 10-year NHL career in Philadelphia, and made numerous deep playoff runs with the Broad Street Bullies in the process. Jimmy went to the Stanley Cup Finals four times and walked away with a pair of rings, winning back-to-back Stanley Cups in 1974 and 75. This skilled defenseman was a five-time NHL All Star, spanning 1975-80.

Sewn into the collar of this gamer is the manufacturers, wash and size tagging. Light but obvious game wear exists on this size 54 sweater, which includes a fair number of stick marks throughout along with inner pilling. The 1980 NHL All Star Game was Watson’s fifth and final appearance in the annual classic and this striking example was impeccably preserved by Mr. Watson through the years.
