1980-81 Dean Hopkins Los Angeles Kings Game Worn Jersey - Career Best 118 PIMS
Lot #66

This home gold mesh gamer by Goodman & Sons was worn by Dean Hopkins during the 1980-81 NHL season. The Los Angeles Kings selected Hopkins in the 2nd round of the 1979 NHL Entry Draft. After four seasons with the London Knights, this tough guy made his NHL debut in 1979-80 with the Kings. Hopkins spent four seasons with the Kings before finishing up his career with short stints in Edmonton and Quebec.

Sewn into the collar of this gamer is the Goodman & Sons tag. The game wear on this size XL sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes and trauma, stitch pops, inner pilling and plenty of team-sewn repair work that includes stitch jobs to the body and sleeves including a 7” x 5” material backed sew job along with a couple of additional material backed repairs and repair reinforcement to both sleeve seams. Hopkins appeared in 67 games during his sophomore season and racked up a career best 118 PIMS. A terrific battered old-school purple and gold.
