This road red mesh and knit gamer by Russell Athletic and Reeder & McGaughey was worn by Paul Reinhart during his rookie season. Reinhart was a 2-time NHL All Star who spent his first 9 NHL seasons as a member of the Flames franchise. His rookie campaign of 1979-80 was the final season that the Flames were in Atlanta. Paul scored 559 points in a 648 game career and represented Team Canada in the 1981 Canada Cup.
This road red sweater shows nice game wear, which includes stick marks, board burns and nice overall pilling. The original tagging, which includes the seldom seen Reeder and Mcgaughey tag, is sewn perfectly in place in the collar of this awesome defunct sweater. This is a fantastic example of a gamer worn during the final year of the Atlanta Flames franchise. The demand for gamers from this long defunct franchise just continues to grow stronger. Now more than a quarter century old, this vintage Atlanta gamer will make a wonderful addition to any serious type style or defunct collection.
