This road red mesh gamer by Stall & Dean was worn by Jak Bestle during the 1979-80 ECAC season. Bestle spent 4 years on the Left Wing for R.P.I. spanning 1979-80 thru 1982-83. After graduating, this Troy, NY native went to Europe for a couple of seasons where he represented Glasgow and then played a final year in the ACHL with the hometown Troy Slapshots. An interesting note is that Bestle, during his senior year, played alongside Adam Oates in his freshman year at R.P.I.
Sewn into the collar of this gamer is the Stall & Dean, wash, size and year tagging. The game wear on this size 48 sweater is on the lighter side, which is consistent with Bestle’s light schedule in his first year with the school. A rarely seen vintage example that should please the old-school college collector.
