1979-80 Glenn Hall Red Wings Last Game at Olympia Stadium Game Worn Jersey
Lot #29

This red dureen gamer by Rawlings was worn by Glenn Hall during the last ever game at Olympia Stadium during the 1979-80 campaign. This legendary netminder began his career in Detroit, spending a handful of seasons with the team while winning the Calder Trophy as Rookie of the Year and earning a 1st and a 2nd team NHL All Star selection during the process.

With Terry Sawchuk standing in his way, Glenn was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks where he starred for 10 years and backstopped the Hawks to their last Stanley Cup. In 1967-68, Hall became a member of the expansion St. Louis Blues and helped guide them to 3 consecutive Stanley Cup Finals appearances and won the 1968 Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP in a losing cause! Glenn retired with an astounding 407 Wins in the till. On the mantel were a Calder, Conn Smythe and 3 Vezina Trophies. He was 7-times a 1st team NHL All Star and 4-times a 2nd team NHL All Star during his illustrious career.

The Rawlings manufacturers tag remains sewn perfectly in the collar. This striking red dureen was worn by Glenn Hall while tending goal as a cast of NHL legends, including all time great Gordie Howe, sent Olympia Stadium out in style. Game use is light as would be expected with some inner pilling being clearly evident.
