Description
1979-80 Doug Halward Los Angeles Kings Game Issued Jersey
Lot #95

This road purple heavy mesh jersey by Goodman & Sons was issued for use by Doug Halward during the 1979-80 NHL season. Halward was simultaneously selected in the 1975 NHL and WHA Amateur Drafts by the Boston Bruins in the 1st round of the NHL Draft and the Quebec Nordiques in the 2nd round of the WHA Draft. This Toronto native chose the NHL and made his professional debut in 1975-76 with the Boston Bruins. After three seasons skating for Don Cherry’s Bruins, Halward joined the LA Kings for three seasons before a deadline deal in the spring of 1981 sent him to Vancouver. Halward spent 7 years playing for the Canucks and helped the team to the Stanley Cup Finals in 1982, his first full season with the squad. Doug wrapped up his playing days following parts of three seasons in Detroit and a partial season with the Edmonton Oilers. All told this defenseman spent 14 years clearing creases and roaming the NHL bluelines.

Sewn into the collar of this jersey is the manufacturers size tagging. This size 50 sweater shows no substantive signs of game use and is therefore being offered as game issued.
