This jersey originates from the personal collection of NHL defenseman Dick Lamby. Lamby, a native of Auburn, MA played his collegiate hockey with Boston University where he led his team to the NCAA title in 1978, assisting on 3 goals in the Championship game. He represented the US National Team in 1976 and played for Team USA in the 1976 Olympics before playing for 3 seasons in the NHL with the St. Louis Blues. According to Mr. Lamby, he acquired this jersey personally while competing in the 1978 World Championships in Prague, Czechoslovakia.

This white knit gamer by Tibas was worn by Martin Wild during the 1978 World Championships in Prague, Czechoslovakia. Wild represented the West German Team in the 1978 World Championships as well as the 1972 and 1980 Olympics. Martin netted 2 goals and added 2 assists for 4 points in 10 games of play while wearing this jersey during the 1978 World Championships. Featuring a sewn on crest, the game wear on this sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, material pulls, inner pilling and plenty of bloodstains. Shown above is a vintage newspaper image of the West German Team competing during the 1978 World Championships in Prague. A beautiful bloodstained international example from the days of the Iron Curtain and Berlin Wall that originated from the personal collection of NHL defenseman and USA Olympian, Dick Lamby.
