This road purple mesh gamer by Goodman & Sons was worn by Larry Carriere and Darryl Edestrand during the 1977-78 NHL season. Edestrand began his NHL career with the St. Louis Blues in 1967-68. He joined the Philadelphia Flyers in 1969-70 and then moved across the state to represent the Pittsburgh Penguins for 3 seasons before joining the Boston Bruins where he played for parts of 5 years that included a number of deep playoff runs in the 1970’s. Edestrand joined the LA Kings at the deadline in 1977-78 where he played the last couple of years of his 10-year NHL career.
The Bufalo Sabres selected Carriere in the 2nd round of the 1972 NHL Amateur Draft. He spent 3 seasons in Buffalo that culminated in a trip to the 1975 Stanley Cup Finals. Larry also suited up for the Atlanta Flames, Vancouver Canucks, Los Angeles Kings and the Toronto Maple Leafs over the course of his 7-year NHL career.
Carriere officially became a member of the Buffalo Sabres on March 12, 1978. The Kings acquired Edestrand from Boston on March 13, 1978.
