1976-77 Stan Gilbertson Pittsburgh Penguins Game Worn Jersey - Photo Match
Lot #3

This home white dureen gamer by Wilson was worn by Stan Gilbertson during the 1976-77 NHL season. Gilbertson, a native of Duluth, MN began his professional career in the mid-sixties where he went on to play 7 minor-pro seasons representing the Clinton Comets, the SF and California Seals, the Vancouver Canucks and the Hershey Bears. Gilbertson then made his NHL debut with the California Golden Seals in 1971-72. He spent 4 years with the Seals, played for the St. Louis Blues for a partial season, the Washington Capitals for 2 years including their inaugural season and finally wrapped up his NHL career after playing a couple of years with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The game wear on this size 44 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, fine inner pilling and 20 team-sewn repairs. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Gilbertson wearing this exact jersey during the 1976-77 season.
