Description
1976-77 Ed Staniowski St. Louis Blues Game Worn Jersey
Lot #44
This road blue dureen gamer by Rawlings was worn by Ed Staniowski during the 1976-77 NHL season, his sophomore season. The St. Louis Blues selected Staniowski in the 2nd round of the 1975 NHL Amateur Draft. After spending 4 seasons backstopping Regina in the WCHL, Staniowski made his NHL debut with the Blues in 1975-76. He remained in St. Louis for 6 seasons before joining Winnipeg in 1981-82. Following 3 years with the Jets, Staniowski completed his career with the Hartford Whalers where he played for a couple of seasons.

Sewn into the collar of this gamer is the Rawlings tag. Alongside is Ed’s chain stitched player number 31 and between the two is a 2” shorter tag. The game wear on this size 48 sweater is solid and consists of stick and puck marks, goal post paint transfer, heavy pilling and a gaudy team sewn reapir just beneath the Blue Note. Being worn during the last season of non-mandated nameplates likely explains the plate removal on the verso as teams were adding NOB’s for televised contests. A nicely worn vintage dureen from this goaltenders 2nd NHL season.
