Lot #377
1975-76 Topps Autographed card of Garnet "Ace" Bailey.  "Ace" Bailey joined the Boston Bruins in 1968 and was a member of their Stanley Cup championship teams in 1970 and 1972. He later played for the Detroit Red Wings, St. Louis Blues and the Washington Capitals in a 10-year NHL career. Bailey moved the WHA in 1978-79 playing for the Edmonton Oilers and with a rookie named Wayne Gretzky.

Bailey then worked as a scout with the Oilers from 1981 to 1994. He won 5 Stanley Cup rings with Edmonton as a scout 1984–85–87–88–90. His name was engraved on the 3 of 5 Stanley Cups won during that period: 1985, 1987 and 1990.

On September 11, 2001, while working as director of pro scouting for the Los Angeles Kings, Bailey died when United Airlines Flight 175 crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City.  The card is beautiful and the signature is a 10.
