Description
1974-75 Reggie Harrison Pittsburgh Steelers Game Worn Jersey - Super Bowl IX - Photo Match - Video Match
Lot #209

This beautiful white dureen jersey by Sand Knit was game worn by Reggie Harrison in the 1974-75 NFL season and the 1975 NFL Super Bowl.  Harrison played running back and special teams with the Steelers for 4 seasons including the 1975 and 1976 Super Bowl teams.  Reggie is best known for a very important play in Super Bowl X against the Dallas Cowboys.  With the Steelers trailing 10-7 in the 4th quarter, Reggie blocked a Cowboys punt which went through the end zone for a safety making the score 10-9.  The Steelers went on to win the Super Bowl 21-17.

This Sand Knit dureen shows heavy use with at least 15 team-sewn repairs.  The jersey was originally a long sleeved jersey with embedded elbow pads but was cut down and hemmed by the team.  The name on back has also been replaced by the team as it was most likely worn by Warren Bankston before Harrison.  Shown above is a team photo of the 1975 Super Bowl squad with Reggie wearing this exact jersey.  Also shown above are video clips from the 1975 Super Bowl with Reggie in this striking dureen.

This jersey will be accompanied by a PSA/DNA Letter of Authenticity on the autograph, a 1975 Steelers Super Bowl team photo and 1975 Iron City Beer photos of the team both unrolled and in can form.  A magnificent jersey.
