Description
1972-73 Michel Parizeau WHA All Star Game Worn Jersey
Lot #253
This white mesh gamer by Cosby was worn by Michel Parizeau during the inaugural WHA All Star game in 1973. Parizeau was originally drafted by the New York Rangers but never skated for the club. He broke into the NHL in 1971-72 with St. Louis and was traded later that same to season to Philadelphia. The following year, Michel joined the WHA and became an original member of the Quebec Nordiques, where he would serve in the role as Team Captain for a time. He remained with the Nordiques for parts of 4 seasons, before a deal in 1975-76 sent him to Indianapolis. Michel spent parts of the next 4 seasons with the Racers before finishing his career with the Cincinnati Stingers.

Sewn into the collar of this striking All Star gamer are the manufacturer’s, wash and size tagging. Featuring individually sewn on letters and numbers, this inaugural WHA All Star gamer sports game use consisting of a fair number of board burns alongside smears of board paint transfer and some inner pilling. There aren’t many of these first year WHA All Star gamers floating around in the hobby. An underrated and rare style that is absent in many vintage collections.
