1972-73 Don Tannahill Canucks Game Worn Jersey - Rookie Jersey
Lot #28

This road blue stick crest dureen gamer by Rawlings was worn by Don Tannahill during the 1972-73 NHL season. Tannahill was the Boston Bruins 1st round pick and 3rd overall selection in the 1969 entry draft. He never suited up for the Bruins, instead beginning his career with the Vancouver Canucks in 1972-73 where he would spend two seasons before moving to the WHA. Don played for one season with the Minnesota Fighting Saints and two more for the Calgary Cowboys before his professional career came to an end.

Sewn to the hem of this rookie gamer are the Rawlings and wash instruction tagging. The stick style crest and vintage  blue and green Canucks colors just scream old time hockey. The game use on this sweater consists of stick marks, board burns, fine inner pilling and un-repaired holes. A very faint outline remains visible on each shoulder of what were Molson patches. The Canucks were known to use their game jerseys at random for alumni games and would add these patches to the shoulders. This is a fine looking example that remains all original in all other respects. Worn some 35 odd years ago during the 3rd year of the Vancouver Canuck’s existence this example is sure to please the most ardent fan.
