1970s Flin Flon Bombers Game Worn Jersey Player #20
Lot #210

This home white dureen gamer was worn circa the 1970’s by player #20 while skating for the Flin Flon Bombers during WCHL play. The Bombers were a WHL expansion franchise that began play in 1967-68 and existed for 11 seasons in the WCHL. Their most famous alumni is Hall of Famer Bobby Clarke who played for the club during their first couple of years.

Sewn to the right shoulder of this gamer is the WCHL patch. The chain stitched Bombers crest sits proudly front and center on the chest while the player number is sewn to both sleeves and the verso. The game wear on this sweater is solid and consists of stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, a couple of runs, fine inner pilling and a handful of team-sewn repairs. Ever popular, Flin Flon gamers have been a relatively tough get for collectors over the years, with this being the first example that we’ve had the pleasure to offer. A beautiful patched example that would surely fill a gap in many Major Junior collections.
