Description
1970-71 Simon Nolet Philadelphia Flyers Game Worn Jersey – Photo Match
Lot #3
This home white dureen gamer by Pearson and General Athletic was worn by Simon Nolet during the 1970-71 NHL season. This Quebec native made his NHL debut in 1967-68 with the Philadelphia Flyers during the NHL’s first year of expansion and Philadelphia’s inaugural season. Simon spent 7 seasons with Philadelphia, winning the 1974 Stanley Cup, which was the first in franchise history. He would finish up his career as a member of the inaugural Kanas City Scouts where he served as Team Captain, the Pittsburgh Penguins and again as a member of the inaugural Colorado Rockies. Nolet played in a pair of NHL All Star Games, representing both the Flyers and the Scouts in the annual classic.

The game wear on this sweater is solid and consists of stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and runs, washed out bloodstains and inner pilling. Shown above are a couple of beautiful photo matches of Nolet wearing this exact jersey during the 1970-71 season. The heavily faded General Athletic tag remains partially sewn to the inside hem while the outline of the Pearson tagging is all that resides in the collar. A beautiful photo matched example that is now 50-years removed from the ice and was worn by this two-time NHL All Star, choice!
