1970-71 OPC Bobby Clarke Philadelphia Flyers Autographed Rookie Card

Bobby Clarke played 15 NHL seasons, all for the Philadelphia Flyers. Clarke’s first season with the Flyers was 1969-70. By his third season, 1971-72, Clarke had established himself as one of the league’s best. But it was his fourth season the catapulted Clarke to superstar status. The 1972-73 season saw Bobby become the Flyers Team Captain for the 1st time. In addition, Clarke broke the 100-point barrier for the first time during his career and racked up plenty of hardware for his efforts. Bob played in the 1973 NHL All Star game and was named 1973 2nd Team NHL All Star at center. He was also the winner of the Lester B. Pearson award as the NHL’s outstanding player along with the Hart Memorial Trophy as league MVP for his efforts. His hardware list, when all was said and done, included The Lester Patrick Trophy for outstanding service to hockey in the United States and the Frank J. Selke Trophy for the NHL’s best defensive forward. Bob was 4-times a 1st or 2nd Team NHL All Star, played in 8 NHL All Star games.  He was the NHL’s plus/minus award winner in 1976, and totaled 1 Lester B.Pearson, 3 Hart Memorial trophies as leagues most valuable player and 2 Stanley Cup rings. Clarke represented Team Canada in the 1972 Summitt Series and the 1976 Canada Cup and was the starting center for Team NHL during the 1979 Challenge Cup. Bob served as Flyers Team Captain for parts of 9 different seasons. Clarke’s number 16 was retired by the Flyers in 1984 and he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1987.

This rookie card is in beautiful condition and the signature is a 10.
