Description
1968-69 OPC Claude Provost Montreal Canadiens Autographed Card Deceased
Lot #524

Provost played his entire career with the Montreal Canadiens, 15 seasons in all, starting in 1955-56 through the 1969-70 season. During that time Claude won the Bill Masterton Trophy in 1968 and captured 9 Stanley Cup titles. Provost’s 9 titles make him the player with the most Stanley Cup titles who is not in the Hockey Hall of Fame. Every other player with at least 8 titles is a Hall of Fame member. Provost suffered a heart attack while playing tennis at his home in Florida in 1984 at the age of 50.

Our consignor went to a hockey game every night and had all autographs signed personally. The card and signature is beautiful.
