Description
1968-69 OPC Bill White Los Angeles Kings Autographed Card Deceased
Lot #591

After spending 8 seasons in the AHL, White’s NHL career began as a member of the expansion Los Angeles Kings in 1967-68. White spent the first two and a half years of his NHL career with LA before a deal sent him to the Chicago Blackhawks in February 1970. He would spend the next 7 seasons with the Hawks, playing his last game in 1976. Bill’s arrival in Chicago helped bolster the Hawks blueline and led them to Stanley Cup Finals appearances in 1971 and 1973.

Widely considered among the best in his own zone during his era, White played in 6 consecutive NHL All Star games spanning 1969 thru 1974 and was named 2nd Team NHL All Star three consecutive years spanning 1972-74. On the international stage, this rearguard was a member of Team Canada in 1972 and played in all 8 games in that historic Summit Series. White died in 2017 at the age of 77.

The card is in beautiful condition and the signature is a 10.
