1968-69 OPC Andy Bathgate Pittsburgh Penguins Autographed Card – Deceased

Bathgate played 17 seasons in the NHL with the Rangers, Maple Leafs, Red Wings and Penguins. This 1978 Hockey Hall of Famer finished his career with 349 Goals and 973 Points in 1069 games played. Bathgate scored 25 Goals on more in 7 consecutive seasons from 1956-67 thru 1962-63. He was twice a first team and twice a second team NHL All Star while winning the Stanley Cup with the Maple Leafs in 1964. Bathgate also won the Hart Memorial Trophy as NHL MVP in 1959. In February of 2009, the Rangers retired his #9 along with Harry Howell’s #3 in a special ceremony. Bathgate joined Adam Graves, whose #9 had been hoisted to the rafters only 19 days earlier. Graves called Bathgate “the greatest Ranger to ever wear #9”.



Bathgate died in February 2016 at the age of 83. The card is in beautiful condition and the signature is a 10.
