Hicke began his NHL career with the Canadiens for the playoffs in 1958-59, winning the Stanley Cup in his rookie season. He would repeat that feat in 1959-60. All told Hicke played 15 seasons in the NHL with the Canadiens, Rangers, Seals and Penguins. His final year was 1972-73 with the Alberta Oilers of the WHA. In addition to his 2 Stanley Cups, Hicke was also an NHL All Star 3 times. Bill was the older brother of Ernie Hicke. Bill passed away in 2005 at the age of 67.
