1960s Toledo Blades Game Worn Jersey Player #4
Lot #411
This home white dureen gamer by General Athletic was worn by player number 4 circa the mid 1960’s during IHL play. The Blades existed as a franchise for just 7 seasons and during that time won a pair of Turner Cup Championships. They captured their titles in 1964 and 1967, circa the era this beautiful sweater was worn.

Sewn perfectly into the collar of this gamer is the General Athletic tagging. The game wear on this size 48 sweater is solid and consists of stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired holes and trauma, stitch pops, inner pilling and no less than a dozen team-sewn repairs. The oval crest was replaced by the team with the current chain-stitched crest. This stunning nearly 60-year-old championship era sweater shows nice game use and is the first example of its kind that we’ve seen appear at Major Auction.
