This white dureen gamer by Wilson was worn by Gilles Boisvert in the 1960’s during AHL play. Boisvert made his NHL debut in 1959-60 with the Detroit Red Wings. This Trois-Rivieres native spent 16 seasons between the pipes, primarily in the AHL. Boisvert spent his final 7 seasons in Goal representing the Baltimore Clippers.
Sewn into the rear hem of this gamer are the Wilson and size tagging. The game wear on this size 48 sweater is solid and consists of stick and puck marks, goal post paint transfer, stitch pops, heavy exterior lower sleeve pilling, inner pilling and some terrific team-sewn repair work to the front collar that extends downward towards the left breast. These vintage Clippers jerseys have always been tough to find and coveted by collectors. This beautiful well-worn example is now more than a half-century removed from the ice and would make a terrific addition to any vintage Goalie or AHL collection of gamers.
