On the eve of the consignment deadline for the spring 2013 auction, the consignment department at GAMEWORNAUCTIONS.NET received an inquiry wondering if there was still time to get this spectacular item into the spring sale. The Buffalo Sabres Collection
Lets have a look at another of the four franchise collections that are being offered in the current auction, the Buffalo Sabres. While moderate in volume, it sure does contain some terrific game worn jerseys. It doesn’t get much better than Rick Martin’s photo matched home dureen.
The Bobby Orr Jersey
It seems only fitting to begin the discussion of individual items in the current auction with lot #1. Bobby Orr’s game worn home jersey, worn during the 1968-69 and the 1969-70 NHL seasons. This amazing jersey is packed with wonderful provenance and spent 13 years on loan to the Canada Sports Hall of Fame. Impressive photo matches and terrific game wear only further highlight this special offering that Orr wore over the course of two very important seasons. Continue reading
