This Koho Revolution hockey stick was game used by defenseman Steve Chiasson while playing for the Carolina Hurricanes in 1998-99. Chiasson, who distinguished himself as an NHL All Star on defense, was tragically killed just hours after being eliminated from the playoffs in 1999. Chiasson was a fiery competitor who was gifted with offensive talent as well as toughness. Double digit goal seasons coupled with 150 PIMS became common from this beloved Red Wings defenseman. Following 8 seasons in the Motor City, Chiasson was dealt to Calgary in exchange for 300 game winner, Mike Vernon. During his 3rd season in Calgary Steve was dealt to Hartford at the trade deadline. He would move with the franchise to Carolina where his career would abruptly come to an end following his 2nd season with the Hurricanes.
