This Reebok hockey stick was game used by Stanley Cup champion Sidney Crosby during the 2009-10 season. Crosby was the 1st overall draft pick in the 2005 NHL entry draft and joined the Penguins immediately thereafter. He has taken the NHL by storm with his adept scoring and playmaking abilities. In his 2nd season Sid won the Art Ross Trophy as the league’s leading scorer, as well as both league MVP awards, the Hart Trophy and the Lester B. Pearson Trophy. Year 3 saw Crosby lead his Penguins to the Stanley Cup Finals in what was an unsuccessful bid for the Stanley Cup. However revenge would come in his 4th season as a Finals rematch occurred and the Penguins defeated Detroit for the greatest title in sports.
During the 2009 Stanley Cup playoffs, Crosby scored 31 points in his team’s 24 games played. This followed a regular season that again saw him surpass the 100-point plateau. The 2009-10 season has already been a monumental one for Crosby. In perhaps the greatest international game of the modern era, Sid led Team Canada over Team USA to capture the Gold Medal with an overtime goal to cap off a storybook ending to the 2010 Winter Olympics. In addition, Crosby smashed his own personal highs for goals in a season with 51, two of them coming on the seasons final day to tie for the Rocket Richard Trophy for most goals scored in the league. Sidney also rang up the 4th 100-point season of his career.
This beautiful Reebok stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. The player name "S. Crosby" is stamped on the side. A beautiful stick which Sidney had in his hands only months ago.
