Rick MacLeish Sher-Wood Game Used Stick
Lot #285
This Sher-Wood hockey stick was game used by Rick MacLeish while playing for the Philadelphia Flyers. MacLeish was a key ingredient to the Flyers two Stanley Cup championships is the mid 1970's. Rick finished his career with almost 350 goals, a very nice number for the era in which he played. He had 30 or more goals in 7 seasons, with 49 goals in 1977-78 and 50 goals in 1972-73. He was also responsible for the only goal in a 1-0 win in game 6 of the 1974 Stanley Cup finals against the heavily favored Bruins. All 1970's Flyers fans remember MacLeish's dangerous wrist shot while gliding through the slot. Rick was the Flyers key goal scorer until they acquired Reggie Leach.
This stick is fully taped on both butt and blade. The player name "MacLeish" is stamped on the side. This is a very nice stick from this important Flyer in the team's most important decade.
