Miikka Kiprusoff Montreal Game Used Stick - Autographed

This red Montreal goalie stick was game used by Flames star goalie Miikka Kiprusoff. Kiprusoff joined the Calgary Flames after spending several seasons with the San Jose Sharks where he began his career. Kiprusoff’s star began to shine in Calgary. He took over as the #1 goalie in 2004 and hasn’t looked back. That season Miikka led the Flames to their first playoff appearance since the mid 1990’s as well as their first Stanley Cup Finals appearnance since 1989.He led the NHL in GAA (1.69) and save percentage (.933) that season. He also played in all 26 playoff contests posting a miniscule 1.85 GAA with 5 shutouts.

The next season, 2005-06, saw Kiprusoff record 10 shutouts and 42 Wins. That season Miikka captured the Vezina Trophy as the NHL’s best goalie as well as the Jennings Trophy for fewest goals allowed. He was voted 1st team NHL All Star in 2006 and played in the NHL All Star game the following year. Following his 42 Win season, Miikka has put up win totals of 40, 39 and 45 respectfully. Miikka has also represented his native Finland in the Olympics and the World Cup of Hockey.

This black Montreal goalie stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. It has the player name "Kiprusoff" stamped on the side. Miikka has also autographed this stick on the paddle.
