This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Doug Weight circa the mid 1990’s. Doug began his career as a member of the New York Rangers in 1990-91. He remained a Ranger for 3 seasons before a deadline deal sent him to the Edmonton Oilers. After 9 seasons with the Oilers, where he established himself among the leagues better playmakers, Dougie moved onto the St. Louis Blues where he played for 6 years before moving to Anaheim. A deadline deal in 2006, which was essentially a loan, proved a good one for Weight and the Carolina Hurricanes who captured the 2006 Stanley Cup, the first for each. Weight spent last season as a member of the New York Islanders.
Doug is a 4-time NHL All Star who has represented Team USA in numerous World Championships, the World Cup of Hockey and the Olympics. He is a proud member of the storied 1000 point club.
The game use on this early career sweater is solid consisting of many stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer from the Northlands Coliseum boards, un-repaired burn holes, washed out bloodstains, fine pilling and 10 team-sewn repairs. A great example.
