This home white dureen gamer was worn circa the mid 1970’s during play in the International Hockey League. It can possibly be attributed to former NHL player Yvon Vautour, who played for Muskegon in 1976-77, where he dominated the scoresheets with a 43 goal and 90 point effort. This vintage sweater easily ranks among the most visually attractive minor league sweaters of its time.
The Rawlings manufacturer’s tagging remains sewn perfectly into the collar. The stunning crest features detailed stitching in red, black, green and yellow atop white tackle twill backing. The game wear on this heavy red, white and blue colored dureen is solid consisting of stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired holes, fine pilling and some great team-sewn repair work. A beautiful 35-year old gamer of a long since defunct style that is rarely seen!
