This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Pokey Reddick circa the late 1980’s. Reddick enjoyed a 22-year professional goaltending career. During that span, Pokey spent parts of 6 seasons in the NHL. He broke into the league in 1986-87 with the Winnipeg Jets where he played for the first 3 years of his career. He next joined the Edmonton Oilers, just in time to win the 1990 Stanley Cup. After 2 years with the Oilers, Pokey popped up for a brief stint with the expansion Florida Panthers in 1993-94. During his career he won the IHL’s James Norris Memorial Trophy and the “Bud” Poile Trophy.
Sewn to the left shoulder of this gamer is the Goals For Kids Patch. The game wear on this vintage sweater is solid and consists of stick and puck marks, material abrasions, pulls and plenty of pilling. On the silky white material that houses the fight strap resides a beautiful black sharpie signature in Pokey’s own hand. A tremendous example worn by Reddick during his time with the previously defunct Winnipeg Jets, his first NHL team.
