This home white knit gamer was worn by goaltender Rick St. Croix while honing his craft for the Philadelphia Flyers affiliate, the Maine Mariners in the late 1970’s. St. Croix, an Ontario native, would represent the Philadelphia Flyers in goal for 6 years spanning the 1977-78 thru the 1982-83 seasons. His final NHL stop was with the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he tended goal for 3 seasons.
This beautiful old school gamer is a perfect mimic of a cup era Flyers jersey but for the Maine crest. This heavy weight knit sweater shows typical goalie usage consisting of stick and puck marks, abrasions, fine inner pilling and washed out bloodstains. A beautiful minor league gamer that would blend nicely in any collection of Flyers gamers.
