Description
Late 1960's Rene Drolet Quebec Aces Game Worn Jersey
Lot #584

This home white dureen gamer by the Tease Knitting Company was worn by Rene Drolet circa the late 1960’s during AHL play. Drolet made a couple of brief appearances in the NHL, playing for the Flyers and Red Wings in the 1970’s. Otherwise, he enjoyed a lengthy minor-pro career that included a 6-year stretch with the Quebec Aces circa the mid 1960’s thru the early 1970’s. In fact, Drolet led the Aces in scoring in 1968-69 as he netted 30 goals and 72 points in 61 games, and again in 1969-70 with 32 goals and 80 points in 71 games.

Removed from the left breast of this vintage dureen is the alternate Captain’s “A”. The game wear on this sweater is solid consisting of stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, inner pilling and a handful of team-sewn repairs. Also worthy of mention is some reinforced stitching to the back number as well as some age staining on the body. A sweet vintage minor league jersey worn by the Aces back-to-back scoring leader.
