Beautifully preserved full program from the LA Kings 1971-72 season. Our consignor went to many games and had his programs signed personally. The program is scored inside. Our consignor would cut news articles and photos about the game from the newspaper the next day and tape them inside the magazine on pages that were used for advertising around the scorecard. The ticket stub from the game is also taped inside. None of the important parts of the book were covered.
On the night of this game the Kings beat the Detroit Red Wings 3-1. Interestingly, Marcel Dionne scored the only goal for the Red Wings while the Kings goals were scored by Bob Pulford, Bob Berry and Ross Lonsberry. The front cover is signed by Juha "Whitey" Widing next to his photo. Juha was only the 3rd born Finnish player to ever play in the NHL. He died on 12/30/1984 from a heart attack at only 37 years of age.
