Jacques Plante CCM Professional Game Used Stick
Lot #626
This gorgeous CCM Professional goalie stick was game used by HOF legend Jacques Plante. Plante spent the first 11 seasons of his NHL career with the Montreal Canadiens where he earned 6 Stanley Cup rings. He established himself as one of the sports all-time greats by backstopping the Canadiens to 5 consecutive Stanley Cup titles spanning 1955-56 thru 1959-60.

His career continued post Montreal with stops in New York, St. Louis, Toronto, Boston and finally Edmonton of the WHA. Plante further built upon his legend with the expansion St. Louis Blues in the late 1960’s where he teamed with Glen Hall and led the Blues to the Cup Finals in 1969 and 1970 at the age of 40 and 41.

Plante was 7 times a 1st or 2nd team NHL All Star and partook in 8 NHL All Star games spanning 1956 thru 1970. He won 7 Vezina trophies including one at 40 years of age in 1969. Jacques was also the last goalie, prior to Dominik Hasek, to win the Hart Trophy as the NHL’s Most Valuable Player, doing so in 1962. He retired with 434 NHL wins, 82 shutouts and a remarkable 2.38 Goals Against Average.
