The “Pocket Rocket” holds an unprecedented 11 Stanley Cup titles during his playing career making him hockey’s winningest all-time player. Henri was the younger brother of Maurice “The Rocket” and they played together during Henri’s first 5 seasons. Incidentally, those 5 seasons were all Stanley Cup winners for Montreal in what is considered one of the sports all-time great dynasties.
Despite a 5’7” 160 lb. frame, Henri played star quality hockey. He was 4-times a 1st or 2nd team NHL All Star and he played in 10 NHL All Star games. Henri twice led the NHL in assists, once in the 1950’s and once again in the 1960’s. He finished his career with in excess of 350 goals and 1000 points. He was the 1974 recipient of the Bill Masterson Trophy for the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey. He is clearly a legendary Hall of Famer.
