This home white knit gamer by CCM was worn by Brian Ferreira circa the early 1990’s while with the AHL’s Maine Mariners. Ferreira, who hails from Falmouth Massachusetts, was drafted by the Boston Bruins in 1986 as he began his 4 year NCAA career at R.P.I. After graduation, Brian played in both the ECHL and AHL representing the Johnstown Chiefs and the Maine Mariners.
Ferreira spent parts of two seasons in Maine and we suspect this sweater could have been worn in both. Sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the Professional Hockey Players Association 25-year anniversary patch. The rear hem features the custom crafted logo. The game wear consists of numerous stick marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes and inner pilling. Here’s a minor league patch that isn’t easy to obtain and should appeal to the Maine collectors.
