This red Christian goalie stick was game used by Don Beaupre while playing for the Washington Capitals. The Minnesota North Stars selected Beaupre in the 2nd round of the 1980 NHL Entry Draft. He began his 17-year NHL career in 1980-81 with the North Stars and enjoyed a trip to the Stanley Cup Finals later that spring. Don spent parts of 9 years with Minnesota before joining the Washington Capitals via trade during the 1988-89 season. Beaupre would call Washington home for 6 years, before finishing up his career with a couple of seasons each in Ottawa and Toronto. Beaupre won 268 games during his career and was twice an NHL All Star, representing the North Stars as a rookie in 1981 and the Capitals in 1992.
