David Ortiz Rawlings Game Used Bat - Autographed
Lot #185

This two-tone Rawlings bat was game used by David Ortiz. Ortiz holds the Red Sox single season homerun record with 54 in 2006. He has played in 5 All Star games and, along with Manny Ramirez, is a major reason the Red Sox won the 2004 and 2007 World Series.

2004 was a magic year for the Red Sox and for David. In 2004 he was 2nd in the league in homeruns with 41 and RBI with 139. He was also 3rd in the league in doubles with 47. He was again 2nd in total bases and slugging percentage and he lead the league in extra-base hits. All these power numbers while still hitting over .300. David and Manny Ramirez became the first teammates to each hit 40 homeruns, have 100 RBI and bat .300 since Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig in 1931. To put the icing on the cake, during the Red Sox amazing run to the title, David became the first player ever to hit two walk-off home runs in the same post season.

This black Rawlings bat has "Big Stick David Ortiz -PRO-" on the barrel. The player number "34" is on the knob. The bat shows nice game use and David has signed the bat in silver sharpie.
