Hodgson made his NHL debut on February 1, 2011 in a 4-1 win over the Dallas Stars. The next day he scored his 1st NHL goal in a 6-0 win against the Phoenix Coyotes. After spending most of the season in Manitoba with the Moose, Hodgson was again called up to the Canucks for the 2011 playoffs. He played in 12 of the Canucks 25-game run to a game 7 loss in the Stanley Cup Finals. Cody became a full time player for the Canucks for the 2011-12 season and has played very well with somewhat limited ice time.
