This beautiful "old style" New England Patriots helmet was game worn by perrienial pro bowler Bruce Armstrong. Armstrong was selected in the first round (23rd overall) in the 1987 NFL draft by the Patriots out of Louisville. He played all 14 NFL seasons with the Patriots and was a pro bowler six times. The only Patriot in team history to be selected to more pro bowls is Hall of Famer John Hannah.
This Riddell helmet has the "old style" Patriots logo on each side. The player number "78" was on the back, but the number 7 has fallen off over time. The use is incredible making one realize how much pounding an NFL lineman must take. A beautiful piece of Patriots history which clearly shows the NFL wars.
