This black air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Teemu Selanne during the 2011-12 NHL season. The Winnipeg Jets chose Selanne with the 10th overall selection in the 1988 NHL Entry Draft. Teemu literally burst onto the NHL scene, shattering all rookie records in his wake as he netted an incomprehensible 76 goals and 132 points as a rookie. It’s amazing that ‘The Finnish Flash’ is still going strong, currently in his 19th season in the league at the age of 41! Selanne has compiled staggering career numbers with 663 goals and 1406 points to his credit. On his mantel are the 1992-93 Calder Trophy as Rookie of the Year, the 1998-99 Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy as the NHL’s top goal scorer, the 2005-06 Bill Masterton Trophy for his qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey and of course the 2007 Stanley Cup. During the 2010-11 season, at the age of 40, Teemu put forth a year that saw him finish 8th in the entire NHL in scoring as he tabbed an impressive 80 points in 73 games. Teemu has just followed that up with yet another stellar year! A 1st ballot induction into the Hall of Fame is certainly reserved for this all-time great.
This gorgeous jersey took part in the NHL’s opening games of the 2011-12 season. Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the 2011 NHL Premiere patch. Proudly sewn to the left breast is the alternate Captain’s “A”. The game wear on this Premiere set size 58 sweater is on the lighter side as would be expected. Shown above is a beautiful photo taken of Selanne while wearing this stunning black alternate during the 2011 Premiere Games in Europe. Sewn to the inside hem is the official Anaheim Ducks NHL Premiere Patch. A stunning jersey that helped open the 2011-12 season, likely one of the last of this future Hall of Famer’s incredible 19-year NHL career, choice! This jersey will be accompanied by a Ducks team letter.
