2009-10 Brad Thiessen Wheeling Nailers Game Worn Jersey
Lot #676

This white air-knit gamer by SP was worn by Brad Thiessen during the 2009-10 ECHL season. Thiessen began his goaltending career with 3 seasons in the BCHL, where he represented the Penticton Panthers, the Prince George Spruce Kings and the Merritt Centennials. Brad next attended Northeastern University where he stood between the pipes for 3 seasons and became a Hobey Baker Award Finalist. Thiessen briefly played in the ECHL with Wheeling and most recently has been playing for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, where he has been in the nets for 30 and 46 games respectively over the past 2 years. Brad has solidly worked his way up the depth chart for the Pittsburgh Penguins and was thrilled to hoist the Stanley Cup during the teams on ice celebration in 2009 as he was part of the taxi squad.

Sewn to both breasts, the right shoulder and back of this gamer are the sposorship patches. The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton patch is sewn to the left shoulder while the Pittsburgh Penguins logo is sewn to the right shoulder. The game wear on this size 58 goalie cut sweater is consistent with Thiessen’s 12-game stint in Wheeling and consists of a bunch of stick and puck marks and some pilling. A nice minor league gamer worn by this goalie who continues to wait for his full-time chance at the Penguins lineup.
