This home blue air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Willie Mitchell during the 2008-09 NHL season. The New Jersey Devils selected Mitchell in the 8th round of the 1996 NHL Entry Draft. After playing his college hockey at Clarkson University, Mitchell began his NHL career with the Devils where he played for parts of 2 seasons prior to joining the Minnesota Wild. After 5 years with Minnesota, Willie had a brief stint with Dallas and then journeyed to Vancouver where he played for 4 seasons prior to joining the Kings before the start of the 2010-11 season.
Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. The game wear on this 2nd set size 58 sweater consists of stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, inner pilling and a team-sewn repair. Mitchell’s player number is penned in blue sharpie on the fight strap. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Mitchell wearing this exact jersey during the 2008-09 season. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. This jersey will be accompanied by a Canucks team letter.
