This black alternate air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Patrick Kane during the 2008-09 NHL season, his 2nd year in the league. The Chicago Blackhawks made Kane the 1st overall selection in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. This Buffalo, NY native began his NHL career in style by winning the 2007-08 Calder Trophy as the NHL’s Rookie of the Year and earning a spot on the All-Rookie Team. Patrick’s 5-year NHL career also includes a 1st Team All Star selection and 2 NHL All Star games. Kane was an integral part of bringing the Stanley Cup back to Chicago in 2010, scoring 10 goals and 28 points in 22 playoff contests during that historic run. A run which ended with Patrick becoming the youngest player ever to score a Stanley Cup winning goal in overtime, a title that previously belonged to Bobby Orr in 1970. On the international stage, Kane has represented Team USA in the World Juniors, the World Championships and owns a Silver Medal from the 2010 Olympics.
The game wear on this size 54 sweater is solid and consists of stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, inner pilling and more than a couple of handfuls of team-sewn repairs. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Kane wearing this exact sweater during the 2008-09 season. A terrific, well-worn, photo matched offering from Kane’s sophomore season, choice! This jersey will be accompanied by a Blackhawks team letter.
